Professional chauffeur
You hold a transport-class licence and want to drive RUTZ.IN work in owner, company or client vehicles: airport runs, corporate placements, touring. No car needed.
Chauffeur form →
Owner-operator chauffeur
You drive your own Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Toyota Fortuner, Innova Hycross, Kia Carnival or similar on a commercial permit, and want pre-booked work in your city.

Company form →Every document is checked against the issuing authority (Parivahan, the state transport authority, the insurer, the GST portal) before the onboarding call. Applications with an expired permit, fitness certificate, insurance or licence are held until the renewal is uploaded.
Who qualifies
What makes a valid RUTZ.IN chauffeur
These are the conditions the desk verifies for every driver, whether you register alone, with your own car or through a company.
Age 21 to 60Date of birth as on the licence and Aadhaar; older chauffeurs with a current Form 1A medical are considered.
Transport-class licenceLMV licence endorsed for transport vehicles (yellow plate), held for at least three years; heavy passenger licence and PSV badge for mini coaches and coaches.
Two years commercial drivingTaxi, hotel, corporate, tourist or rental experience; references from a fleet, hotel or corporate client help.
Clean recordPolice verification or character certificate from the state police; no drink-driving or serious traffic convictions in the last five years.
Identity and taxAadhaar and PAN in the same name as the licence; GSTIN only if you invoice as a business.
LanguagesWorking English plus Hindi or the state language; airport and international work goes to chauffeurs who can converse in English.
Smartphone with dataAndroid or iPhone with WhatsApp, Google Maps and the RUTZ.IN dispatch link; a car charger and a power bank.
PresentationDark suit or blazer, white shirt, dark tie and shoes, trimmed hair; a name board, water and a phone charger on every job; no smoking in or near the car.
Bank accountSavings or current account in your own name for weekly settlements; cancelled cheque or passbook page.

Chauffeurs
Standards for every class: black, white or silver exterior on cars; clean leather or fabric with no tears; working air-conditioning at every row; rear charging; commercial (yellow-plate) registration with the permit, fitness, PUC and insurance current. An LMV licence covers transport vehicles up to 7,500 kg gross weight, which includes every car, van and Tempo Traveller above; buses need the heavy passenger vehicle licence and, where the state issues one, a PSV badge.
Documents
What to upload, and what must be visible on each
Scan or photograph each document flat, in good light, with all four corners and the expiry date readable. PDF, JPG or PNG under 8 MB each. The illustrations show the layout to expect; upload your real document.
Personal documents, every applicant
Driving licence
Front and back. The transport (TR) endorsement or LMV-transport class, the validity date and the issuing RTO must be readable.
Check yours at parivahan.gov.in under Driving Licence Related Services.
Commercial / PSV badge
Where your state issues one (Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana among others). Front and back.
Issued by the state transport authority after police verification.
Aadhaar
Front and back; the address on the back is used for the police verification. You may mask all but the last four digits.
Name must match the licence exactly.
PAN card
Needed for settlements and TDS. Name and date of birth must match Aadhaar and the licence.
Card or the e-PAN PDF.
Address proof
If the Aadhaar address is not your current one: electricity bill, rent agreement, passport or voter ID from the last three months.
Police verification
Character certificate or police clearance from the state police portal; or tick consent on the form and RUTZ.IN applies for it with you.
Most states issue it online within two to three weeks.
Profile picture
A recent head-and-shoulders photograph in chauffeur dress on a plain background. Passengers see this picture in their booking confirmation.

Medical certificate (Form 1A)
Optional unless you are over 50 or your licence renewal required one; issued by a registered medical practitioner.
Vehicle documents, owner-operators and companies
Registration certificate (RC)
Both sides. Commercial (yellow-plate) registration in your name, or with the financier's hypothecation shown. Chassis and engine numbers readable.
Verify at parivahan.gov.in under Vehicle Related Services.
Permit
All India Tourist Permit (AITP) or the state contract-carriage or taxi permit, current, with the registration number matching the RC.
Issued by the RTO; national permits through the Parivahan e-permit portal.
Fitness certificate
Current certificate from the RTO or an authorised testing station; the valid-till date must be visible.
Annual for commercial vehicles over eight years old, two-yearly before that.
PUC certificate
Pollution Under Control certificate from an authorised centre, valid six or twelve months depending on the vehicle.
Motor insurance policy
Commercial policy schedule showing passenger liability cover (not a private-car policy). Insurer, policy number, vehicle and expiry visible.
Check the policy on the insurer's portal.
Vehicle photographs
Six photographs: front, rear, both sides, interior from the rear door, and the number plate. Clean car, daylight, no people.
Payment documents
Cancelled cheque or passbook page
Account holder name, account number and IFSC readable; the name must match yours or the company's exactly.
GST registration
Only if you or the company are registered; the 15-character GSTIN is checked on the GST portal.
Profile picture
The picture passengers see before you arrive
Your profile picture goes on the booking confirmation and the name board, so the passenger recognises you at arrivals. The desk rejects pictures that do not meet these rules, which delays onboarding.
- Taken in the last six months
- Head and shoulders, facing the camera, eyes open, neutral or light smile
- Chauffeur dress: dark jacket or blazer, white shirt, dark tie
- Plain light background (a white wall is fine), even daylight, no shadows on the face
- Square or portrait, at least 600 x 600 pixels, JPG or PNG under 2 MB
- No sunglasses, cap, hat or headphones; religious head coverings are fine if the face is fully visible
- No selfies from below, mirror shots, filters or group photos
- No car, logo, text or another person in the frame
- No cropped ID-card or licence photo; take a new one
Chauffeurs
Professional chauffeur registration
For a licensed driver without a vehicle of their own. RUTZ.IN places chauffeurs with affiliate fleets, owner-operators who need a relief driver, and corporate and hotel clients who supply the car. Work is pre-booked and fixed-fare; pay is settled weekly to your bank.
What you need before you start
- Driving licence, transport class, held three years or more; heavy passenger licence and PSV badge if you want coach work.
- Aadhaar and PAN in the same name as the licence; current address proof if Aadhaar is out of date.
- Police verification or character certificate, or consent for RUTZ.IN to apply with you.
- Profile picture to the specification above; required to submit.
- Bank details: cancelled cheque or passbook page in your name.
- Experience: employers or clients from the last two years who can confirm it.
- Optional: Form 1A medical, airport pass, first-aid or defensive-driving certificates, hotel or corporate training letters.
Documents are stored outside the public website and are seen only by the verification desk.

Owner-operators
Owner-operator chauffeur registration
For a chauffeur who owns or leases a premium car on a commercial registration and drives it personally. RUTZ.IN work is pre-booked, fixed-fare and paid to your bank on settlement; you keep your own clients.
What you need before you start
- Driving licence with the transport (commercial) endorsement, valid, in your name; the state commercial or PSV badge where your state issues one.
- Registration certificate (RC) for the vehicle, commercial (yellow-plate) registration, in your name or with the financier's hypothecation shown.
- Permit: All India Tourist Permit (AITP) or the state contract-carriage or taxi permit, valid, matching the RC.
- Fitness certificate and Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate, both valid.
- Commercial motor insurance with passenger liability cover, valid, matching the RC.
- Police verification or character certificate for the driver from the state police, or consent to RUTZ.IN obtaining one.
- Identity and tax: Aadhaar, PAN; GSTIN if you are registered.
- Bank: cancelled cheque or passbook page for settlements.
- Photographs: the car from four sides and the interior; a recent photograph of you in chauffeur dress.
- Optional: airport entry or taxi pass, medical fitness certificate (Form 1A) if your licence renewal required one, training certificates.

Limousine and fleet companies
Affiliate company registration
For licensed operators with a fleet, chauffeurs on the payroll and a desk that answers at night. Affiliates take RUTZ.IN bookings in their city under RUTZ.IN service standards and pass their own overflow to the network.
What the desk checks
- Entity: certificate of incorporation, LLP agreement, partnership deed or proprietorship proof; company PAN; GSTIN.
- Transport licences: Rent-a-Cab Scheme 1989 licence from the state transport authority where held; contract-carriage and All India Tourist Permits for the fleet.
- Local registrations: trade licence or Shops and Establishments registration for the office; Ministry of Tourism approved tourist transport operator recognition if held.
- Fleet list: every vehicle with registration, class, year, permit, fitness, PUC and insurance expiry; count of electric vehicles.
- Chauffeur roster: licences with transport endorsement, badges, police verification and uniform standard for each chauffeur.
- Insurance: commercial motor policies with passenger liability across the fleet; public liability cover if held.
- Operations: office address, 24-hour dispatch number, airport permits and passes, cities and routes covered.
- Bank: cancelled cheque in the company name; two corporate references are welcome.
- Memberships: associations and directories you are listed in.

How onboarding works
From application to first booking
Verify
Licence, permit, fitness, PUC and insurance are checked against Parivahan and the insurer; the entity against the GST portal; the chauffeur against the police certificate.
Inspect
A video or in-person inspection of the vehicle and a conversation with the chauffeur in English, covering the RUTZ.IN standards: name board, water, phone charger, dress, no smoking, no upselling.
Agree
Rates by vehicle class and city, settlement cycle, cancellation terms and the duty-of-care rules, in a written affiliate agreement.
Dispatch
Bookings arrive with the passenger's name, flight or train, pickup point and fixed fare; the desk tracks the journey and the client rates it.
