Pune is the standard corporate transfer, about 150 km and three hours door to door on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, which the chauffeur joins from the Sion-Panvel road or, from the island city, over the Atal Setu. Lonavala and Khandala sit on the same expressway about 85 km out at the top of the ghat climb, which makes them a half-day break or a first stop on a Pune run. Alibaug is about 95 km by road via the Atal Setu and the coastal highway, and the beach and fort hotels there fill on winter weekends. Nashik and its vineyards are about 170 km north, with a ghat section before the plateau.

Longer charters build on those legs. A two-day Mumbai to Pune to Mahabaleshwar loop uses the expressway out and returns through the Western Ghats; a Nashik weekend adds a Shirdi stop for many families; and a Mumbai to Goa charter down NH66 is a full day on the road, booked with a chauffeur night halt at the far end. Within Maharashtra there is no state border to cross, so the only pass-throughs are expressway and highway tolls, paid by FASTag and itemised. For Goa or Gujarat the chauffeur pays the state entry tax at the border post and it appears on the same invoice.

Permits, halts and the multi-day charter

Two practical notes shape every outstation day from Mumbai. The first is departure time: leaving the island city before seven avoids the worst of the Sion-Panvel and Eastern Express Highway traffic and puts you on the expressway with the road clear. The second is the monsoon: from June to September the ghat sections on the expressway and the Nashik road run slower, and the chauffeur adds time rather than speed. The written quote for a multi-day charter fixes three things before you leave: the kilometres per day, where the chauffeur sleeps, and when you are back; a change of plan mid-route is settled with the coordinator, not on the roadside.
