Outstation chauffeur from Goa: intercity journeys and multi-day charters
Goa's outstation roads leave through the ghats: NH66 north along the coast to Mumbai, the Chorla Ghat to Belagavi, the Anmod road to Hubballi and Hampi, and NH66 south to Gokarna and Karwar, with Dudhsagar and the Mollem forest at the edge of the state. Our chauffeurs run these as day trips, one-ways and multi-day charters.

Outstation in Goa
Dudhsagar Falls is about 60 km from Panaji to the Mollem and Kulem side, where the Goa Forest Department's jeep safari takes over for the last stretch inside the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary; the safari is suspended through the monsoon and reopens after the rains, so the run is a winter booking. Gokarna is about 150 km south by NH66, a long day or an overnight. Belagavi is reached by the Chorla Ghat, about 50 km from Panaji to the ghat and a similar distance on to the city, a three-hour run. Hampi is about 320 to 350 km east through the Anmod ghat and Hubballi, six to seven hours, an overnight. Mumbai is about 570 km north by NH66, ten to twelve hours, usually split at Ratnagiri.
The routes we drive from Goa
Goa levies an entry tax on vehicles coming in from Karnataka and Maharashtra at the border posts, refundable if the car returns within a few hours, and tourist vehicles from other states need a permit; our Goa-registered cars leaving the state carry an all-India tourist permit and the chauffeur pays any Karnataka or Maharashtra levy at the border, itemised on the invoice. NH66 in Maharashtra is being widened and long sections are still single-carriageway with diversions, which is why Mumbai takes the hours it does. The Chorla, Anmod and Amboli ghats are bends and mist, driven in daylight and slowly in the monsoon. There are no tolls inside Goa; NH66 in Maharashtra and the Karnataka highways have plazas paid by FASTag.
Permits, halts and the multi-day charter
Multi-day charters pair Goa with Hampi, three days with two nights in the ruins, or with the Konkan coast to Mumbai, two days with a night at Ratnagiri or Ganpatipule, or with Gokarna and Murudeshwar as a two-night southern loop. The chauffeur stays with the car, overnights near your hotel and keeps the vehicle fuelled and ready; an SUV is suggested for the Dudhsagar road and the Hampi tracks. Fuel, tolls, permits, border taxes and the chauffeur's expenses are inside the quoted charter, and a change of plan on the road is priced before it is driven. In the monsoon the ghats and the forest roads are slow and some are closed, and we say so at booking rather than on the day.

Questions
Outstation in Goa: frequently asked
Can you take me to Dudhsagar Falls?
Yes, outside the monsoon. The chauffeur drives about 60 km from Panaji to the Mollem and Kulem side, where the Forest Department's permitted jeeps take over inside the sanctuary; the safari is suspended through the rains and reopens after them, so it is a winter booking and we check the date before confirming.
How long is Goa to Mumbai by road?
About 570 km by NH66 and ten to twelve hours, because long stretches in Maharashtra are still being widened; most passengers split it with a night at Ratnagiri or Ganpatipule. The chauffeur handles the Maharashtra border levy and the tolls, and the same car continues the next morning.
Is Hampi a trip from Goa?
Yes, as an overnight. Hampi is about 320 to 350 km east through the Anmod ghat and Hubballi, six to seven hours; a three-day charter with two nights at Hampi is the usual shape, with the chauffeur waiting at the ruins and the Karnataka border formalities handled on the way.
Are there permits for leaving Goa by car?
Our Goa-registered cars carry an all-India tourist permit; the chauffeur pays any Karnataka or Maharashtra levy at the border and it appears at cost. Cars coming the other way into Goa pay the state's entry tax at the border posts, so we run the trip on our own vehicles both ways.
