Airport transfer in Mumbai: chauffeur pickup at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport
Mumbai has two terminals about 5 km apart at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, T2 for international and part of the domestic schedule and T1 at Santacruz for the rest, plus Navi Mumbai International Airport across the harbour since December 2025. The chauffeur confirms which one the night before.

Airport transfers in Mumbai
At T2 the arrivals hall opens on Level 2 and the chauffeur waits beside the exit from customs with your name. The operator gives private cars eight free minutes at the kerb, so the car is staged in the multi-level car park, which has 2,250 spaces across the two terminals, and is brought to the pick-up point as you walk out; app cabs load from the Level 1 ground-transport floor at P4, which you avoid. At T1 the meeting point is the arrivals exit on the Santacruz side, with the same eight-minute pick-up zone outside. A complimentary shuttle links the two terminals from the T1 arrivals exit near departure gate 2 and from Level 1 at T2, useful only if a connection has gone wrong.
Routes and drive times from BOM
Bandra Kurla Complex is the near destination, 8 to 10 km from T2 and 20 to 30 minutes off-peak by the Western Express Highway and the Sahar elevated road. Juhu and the Andheri hotels are ten to twenty minutes west and Powai about the same to the east. The island city is the long leg: Nariman Point and Colaba are about 25 km and 45 minutes at night on the Sea Link and the Coastal Road, but 90 minutes in the evening rush, and Lower Parel and Worli fall midway. Navi Mumbai International Airport is a separate field about 35 km south-east on the Panvel side, reached from the island city over the Atal Setu, and the chauffeur meets you at its terminal in the same way.
Practical notes for BOM
Build a buffer of ninety minutes into any T2 departure from South Mumbai and an hour from BKC or Bandra; the airport approach roads carry the same traffic as the highway. Late arrivals are routine, as both terminals run all night, and the chauffeur tracks the flight so a delayed landing simply moves the pick-up. Sea Link and Coastal Road tolls are paid by the chauffeur and itemised, and if a flight is held beyond the free kerb window the parking charge is passed through at cost rather than marked up. Departing passengers are dropped on the departure level with the chauffeur handling the trolley to the door; airport metro stations exist at both terminals, but with luggage the car is the easier option.
T2 handles all international flights plus Air India and, from August 2026, Akasa Air domestic; T1 (Santacruz) handles IndiGo, SpiceJet, Alliance Air and Star Air domestic, with a third of T1 traffic moving to T2 from 25 October 2026. Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMI) opened in December 2025 and is a separate airport about 35 km south-east. About 25 km from T2 to Nariman Point.

Questions
Airport transfer in Mumbai: frequently asked
Which terminal at Mumbai will my flight use?
T2 handles every international flight plus Air India and, since August 2026, Akasa Air domestic; T1 at Santacruz handles IndiGo, SpiceJet, Alliance Air and Star Air domestic, with a third of its traffic due to move to T2 from 25 October 2026. Because the terminals are 5 km apart by road, the chauffeur confirms the terminal on your ticket the night before.
Where do I find the chauffeur at T2 arrivals?
Beside the exit from customs on Level 2, holding a name board. The car waits in the multi-level car park and comes to the private pick-up point as you walk out, inside the eight-minute free window the operator allows, so there is no kerbside queuing with the app-cab crowd on the ground-transport level.
How long does the airport to Nariman Point transfer take?
About 25 km. At night the Sea Link and Coastal Road bring it down to about 45 minutes; in the evening peak allow 90 minutes. BKC is far closer at 8 to 10 km and 20 to 30 minutes, which is why many executives base themselves in Bandra or BKC rather than the island city.
Do you also cover Navi Mumbai International Airport?
Yes. NMI opened in December 2025 as a separate airport about 35 km south-east of the old one, on the Panvel side; the chauffeur meets you at its arrivals exit and drives into the island city over the Atal Setu, or straight down the Mumbai-Pune Expressway if Pune is the destination.
