Airport transfers in Lucknow
Terminal 3 has a single arrivals hall for international and domestic passengers, and the chauffeur stands beside its exit with a name board showing the passenger's name; the pick-up lane is a short walk across the forecourt, so luggage trolleys can be wheeled to the car. Where an airline still uses the older T1 or T2, the booking desk checks the flight number the evening before and the chauffeur repositions; the three buildings share one approach road off the Kanpur Road, so a last-minute change costs only a few minutes. Flight tracking starts when the aircraft leaves its origin, and the chauffeur is on stand before wheels-down, with waiting time built into every airport booking so a slow bag belt or an immigration queue does not become the passenger's problem.
Routes and drive times from LKO
From Amausi the car joins the Kanpur Road north-east towards Alambagh and Charbagh, and Hazratganj and the Vidhan Sabha are about 15 km and 30 to 45 minutes; the Taj Mahal Lucknow, Hyatt Regency and Renaissance in Gomti Nagar are reached by turning onto the Shaheed Path ring road, about 18 to 20 km and 40 to 50 minutes. Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Vibhuti Khand quotes 20 to 22 km and 30 to 40 minutes from the airport, a fair benchmark for the Gomti Nagar belt. Medanta on the Amar Shaheed Path is on the way and SGPGI on the Raebareli Road is a shorter detour south. Lucknow IT City at Chak Ganjaria and Sushant Golf City sit on the same ring road beyond the Gomti Nagar turn.
Practical notes for LKO
Build a buffer: the Kanpur Road carries Charbagh station traffic and the Alambagh flyovers slow in the evening peak, so an outbound run to a domestic departure is planned for two hours before the flight and three for international. Night arrivals are met exactly the same way, and the Shaheed Path is quicker after 22:00 than the city route. There is no toll between the airport and the city; expressway tolls apply only if you continue to Agra or beyond and are paid by the chauffeur and itemised. Luggage for a family or a trade delegation is checked when booking so the right vehicle is sent. On departure the chauffeur drops at the Terminal 3 departures kerb and stays until you are inside.
The integrated Terminal 3 opened in March 2024 and handles the international flights and most domestic; older T1 and T2 handle the rest. The airport is at Amausi on the Kanpur Road, about 15 km from Hazratganj and Gomti Nagar.

Questions
Airport transfer in Lucknow: frequently asked
Which terminal will I arrive at in Lucknow?
International flights and most domestic services use Terminal 3, the integrated building opened in 2024; a few domestic flights still use T1 or T2. We read the terminal off your flight number the evening before and confirm it by message, so you never have to search for the car.
How long is it from the airport to Gomti Nagar?
Allow 40 to 50 minutes for the 18 to 20 km run by the Shaheed Path to the Taj Mahal Lucknow, Hyatt Regency or Renaissance, and 30 to 40 minutes to Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Vibhuti Khand. Hazratganj is about 15 km and 30 to 45 minutes by the Kanpur Road.
Is waiting time included if my flight is delayed?
Yes. The chauffeur tracks the flight and the meeting time moves with it; a set period of waiting after landing is included in every airport transfer, and only prolonged delays beyond that are billed as extra waiting, which we tell you about before it happens rather than on the invoice.
Can I go straight from the airport to Ayodhya or Kanpur?
Yes. The airport sits on the Kanpur Road, so Kanpur is about 90 km without entering the city; Ayodhya is about 135 km east by NH27 and is booked as a same-day return with the chauffeur waiting at the temple car park while you take darshan.
