International passengers and most domestic arrivals clear Terminal 3, where the chauffeur waits beside the arrivals exit; the smaller T1 and T2 next door still take some domestic services, so the terminal is confirmed against the ticket. The Kanpur Road and the Shaheed Path ring road carry the car into the city: Hazratganj and the Vidhan Sabha are about 15 km and 30 to 45 minutes, the Gomti Nagar hotels (Taj Mahal Lucknow, Hyatt Regency, Renaissance) about 18 to 20 km and 40 to 50 minutes by the Shaheed Path.

Lucknow is a government city first: the Vidhan Sabha, the secretariat and the ministers' bungalows sit around Hazratganj and Vidhan Sabha Marg, the High Court bench at Gomti Nagar, and the corporate offices, banks and technology firms in Vibhuti Khand and the newer Lucknow IT City at Chak Ganjaria. A day-hire for a policy or business-development visitor is a Gomti Nagar hotel to the secretariat, a High Court stop and a Vibhuti Khand meeting, and the chauffeur knows the security cordons around the Vidhan Sabha on session days. Medical-travel runs go to SGPGI on the Raebareli Road, KGMU in the old city and Medanta Lucknow on the Shaheed Path.
