Agra's Kheria airport is a civil enclave at the air force station with a limited schedule, so most passengers reach Agra by road from Delhi's IGI, about 230 km by the Yamuna Expressway, or from Jaipur, about 240 km. When a flight does land at Kheria the chauffeur waits at the single arrivals exit and the pick-up bay is outside the air force gate; the terminal handles a handful of IndiGo domestic routes and the district lists it at about 13 km from the city, with the Fatehabad Road hotels 20 to 40 minutes away. An enlarged civil enclave is under construction on the site. Most guests, though, are met at Delhi IGI, T3 for international and T1 or T2 for domestic, and driven straight down the Yamuna Expressway, or collected at Jaipur airport and brought across by NH21. Rail passengers on the Gatimaan Express, Shatabdi and Vande Bharat are met at Agra Cantt with a name board on the platform.
Routes and drive times from AGR
From Delhi the route is the DND Flyway or the Noida Expressway to Pari Chowk, then the Yamuna Expressway to its end near Kuberpur on NH19 and the inner ring road to the Taj East Gate: The Oberoi Amarvilas quotes 230 km and about four hours from Delhi airport, Trident about three hours from the city. From Jaipur, NH21 through Bharatpur is 240 to 246 km and four to five hours. From Lucknow the Agra-Lucknow Expressway is 302 km and about three hours to the Agra ring road. Within Agra the East Gate hotels, Amarvilas 600 m from the monument and Trident 1.5 km, are 20 to 40 minutes from Kheria; ITC Mughal at Tajganj is about 4 km from the Taj.
Practical notes for AGR
The Yamuna Expressway is tolled at three plazas and the chauffeur's FASTag pays; the toll appears at cost on the invoice, as does any state levy when a Delhi or Rajasthan-registered car enters Uttar Pradesh. The Taj Mahal sits inside a zone where petrol and diesel vehicles are not permitted, so the car stops at the Shilpgram car park for the East Gate or Amrood ka Teela for the West Gate, and battery buses and golf carts cover the last stretch. Winter fog on the expressway from December to February can double the Delhi time and we start after sunrise on those dates; night driving in the other months is routine. For a Delhi return, leave Agra by 16:00 to be at IGI for an evening flight.

Should I fly to Agra or drive from Delhi?
Kheria has only a limited domestic schedule, so most passengers land at Delhi IGI and are driven about 230 km down the Yamuna Expressway in three to four hours, or arrive on the Gatimaan Express into Agra Cantt. If your flight does serve Agra we meet it at the terminal exit outside the air force gate.
Where does the car stop for the Taj Mahal?
Petrol and diesel cars are not allowed near the monument. For the East Gate the chauffeur parks at Shilpgram and you take the battery bus or golf cart; for the West Gate the parking is at Amrood ka Teela. The Oberoi Amarvilas is 600 m from the gate and Trident 1.5 km, so those guests can walk.
Can you collect me at Jaipur airport and bring me to Agra?
Yes. Jaipur to Agra is about 240 km by NH21 through Dausa and Bharatpur, four to five hours; The Oberoi Amarvilas quotes 246 km. Fatehpur Sikri, 37 km before Agra, is the natural stop, and the Bharatpur bird sanctuary is a winter-morning detour on the same road.
How early should I leave Agra for a Delhi flight?
Allow four hours to the terminal in clear weather, more in winter fog; leaving Agra by 16:00 suits an evening departure from IGI. The chauffeur tracks the flight and the expressway conditions and moves the pick-up earlier if needed, at no extra charge for the adjustment.
