Agra Airport, Kheria to the city
When passengers do fly, the chauffeur waits at the single arrivals exit of the Kheria terminal; the pick-up bay is outside the air force gate. The Fatehabad Road hotels are about 7 to 9 km and 20 to 30 minutes. The Yamuna Expressway from Delhi is about 230 km and three to three and a half hours door to door. The Taj Mahal itself is inside a no-emission zone, so the car stops at the East Gate or West Gate parking and the last kilometre is by electric shuttle or golf cart.

Where a day in Agra actually goes
Agra's working economy is leather, marble inlay and tourism: the footwear and leather units at Foundry Nagar and Sikandra, the pietra dura inlay workshops that buyers visit around the Taj Ganj area, and the corporate offices at Sanjay Place. A business day-hire is usually a Delhi-to-Agra return with two factory visits and a Taj stop at the end; a leisure day is the Taj at sunrise, Agra Fort mid-morning, Itmad-ud-Daulah after lunch and Mehtab Bagh across the river for the sunset view of the Taj. The chauffeur books the Taj tickets by time slot and knows which gate has the shorter queue that morning.

Day trips, festivals and occasions from Agra
Fatehpur Sikri is the standard add-on, about 40 km west and an hour each way, and the Mathura and Vrindavan temples are on the road back to Delhi. Bharatpur's Keoladeo sanctuary is a winter-morning birding run, and Gwalior Fort is a longer day south. Taj Mahotsav in February and the moonlit viewing nights are the fixed points in the calendar. Rail passengers are met at Agra Cantt (AGC) for the Gatimaan Express, Shatabdi and Vande Bharat from Delhi, and at Agra Fort (AF) or Raja ki Mandi (RKM) for the trains that use those stations; Tundla Junction on the main line is about 25 km east.
