Maharana Pratap Airport at Dabok is about 22 km east of Udaipur, so the chauffeur's first job is the 40-minute run into the lake city. From there the work is the palace hotels around Lake Pichola, the jetty transfers for the Lake Palace, and the Aravalli roads to Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur and Chittorgarh.

Maharana Pratap Airport to the city
Udaipur's single terminal has one arrivals exit, and the chauffeur waits there with a name board; the car park is directly outside. The Chittorgarh road carries the car west through Bhuwana and Sukher to the lake: Taj Fateh Prakash Palace, Shiv Niwas and the City Palace jetty (for the Lake Palace launch) are about 25 km and 40 to 50 minutes, the Leela Palace on the eastern shore is about the same, the Oberoi Udaivilas across the water is about 30 km and 50 to 60 minutes, and the Trident on the Haridasji ki Magri side about 25 km.

Where a day in Udaipur actually goes
Udaipur's trade is hospitality, marble and zinc: the palace hotels and the old-city havelis around Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar, the marble mines and processing yards on the Rajsamand road, the zinc smelter and mining offices at Debari and Zawar, and the Madri and Sukher industrial areas. Corporate day-hires are usually a hotel-to-plant run with the car held at the gate; leisure day-hires start with the City Palace and Jagdish Temple before the heat, a lunch break, and the Monsoon Palace or a Fateh Sagar circuit at sunset. The old-city lanes around Jagdish Chowk are too narrow for a sedan, so the chauffeur drops at the nearest gate and walks the last stretch with the luggage.

Day trips, festivals and occasions from Udaipur
The Aravalli day trips are Udaipur's second draw: Kumbhalgarh Fort and its wall are about 85 km north, the Ranakpur Jain temples about 90 km, and the two combine into one long day; Chittorgarh Fort is about 115 km east and is often paired with the airport run on departure day. Wedding bookings dominate from October to March, with the Lake Palace and Udaivilas hosting multi-day celebrations that need a fleet and a jetty coordinator. The Mewar Festival in spring and the World Music Festival in February are the cultural peaks. Rail passengers are met at Udaipur City station (UDZ) near the Pratap Nagar side, and at Rana Pratap Nagar (RPZ) for trains that stop there.
