Jaipur International Airport to the city
Domestic passengers arrive at Terminal 2 and international passengers at Terminal 1, a short distance apart on the same site; the chauffeur waits beside the arrivals exit of whichever terminal is on the ticket. The Tonk Road runs straight into the city: the Rambagh Palace and the Tonk Road hotels are about 10 km and 20 to 30 minutes, MI Road and C-Scheme about 12 km and 30 to 40 minutes, the Oberoi Rajvilas on the Goner Road about 8 km, and Fairmont and the Leela Palace at Kukas on the Delhi road about 25 km and 45 minutes.

Where a day in Jaipur actually goes
Jaipur's business is tourism, gems and textiles, with a growing corporate belt: the jewellery and gem-cutting trade sits in Johari Bazaar and the walled city with export houses in Sitapura, the block-print and garment exporters in Sanganer and Bagru, and the corporate offices and government departments around MI Road, C-Scheme and the secretariat. A day-hire for a buyer typically runs a Tonk Road hotel to a Sitapura or Sanganer factory and then Johari Bazaar; for a leisure passenger it is a heritage circuit that starts at Amber Fort before the coaches arrive and ends at Nahargarh for sunset. Medical-travel runs go to Fortis and Eternal Hospital on the Jawahar Circle and SMS Hospital.

Day trips, festivals and occasions from Jaipur
Winter is wedding season, and the palace hotels and the Kukas resorts host several a week from November to February; the chauffeur handles baraat timing, guest shuttles and the late returns. The Jaipur Literature Festival in January or February fills every room in the city. Ranthambore is the wildlife overnight about three and a half hours south-east, Pushkar and Ajmer a long day west, and Samode Palace a lunch run. The Delhi-Jaipur run on NH48 is about five hours and is booked as a fixed-price intercity transfer. Rail passengers are met at Jaipur Junction (JP) for the Shatabdi and Vande Bharat services, and at Gandhinagar Jaipur (GADJ) or Durgapura (DPA) for trains that stop on the southern side.
