The airport pickup
Pune Airport, Lohegaon to the city
Pune's new terminal has a single arrivals hall, and the chauffeur waits beside the exit; the pick-up lane is directly outside. Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar and the Yerawada hotels (Ritz-Carlton, Westin, Conrad on Mangaldas Road) are 6 to 8 km and 20 to 30 minutes; Viman Nagar and the Hyatt Regency are next to the airport. Hinjewadi on the far western side is the long transfer, 60 to 90 minutes in the morning peak, and the chauffeur times departures around the Hinjewadi shift changes.

Where a day in Pune actually goes
Pune has four working districts that rarely overlap: the technology parks at Hinjewadi in the west and Kharadi and Magarpatta in the east, the automotive and engineering belt at Pimpri-Chinchwad and Chakan to the north, and the old corporate and education addresses in Camp, Deccan Gymkhana and Shivajinagar. A day-hire for a manufacturing visitor is a hotel-to-Chakan return with plant stops; for a technology visitor it is a Kharadi and Magarpatta loop or a single Hinjewadi campus day. Hospital runs go to Ruby Hall Clinic on Sassoon Road, Jehangir Hospital and Sahyadri in Deccan.

Day trips, festivals and occasions from Pune
The Mumbai-Pune Expressway is the corporate shuttle between the two cities, about three hours door to door, and Lonavala sits on the same road for a half-day break. Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani are the hill-station weekend, and Sinhagad Fort is a morning run from the Deccan side. Ganeshotsav in August or September closes the Peth streets around Dagdusheth Halwai and Kasba Ganpati, and the December classical music festival fills the evening bookings. Rail passengers are met at Pune Junction (PUNE) for the Deccan Queen, Vande Bharat and Shatabdi services from Mumbai, and at Shivajinagar (SVJR) or Hadapsar (HDP) for trains that stop there.
