Why Delhi is a black-car city
A large share of Delhi's international arrivals land between midnight and 4 am, when the app-cab surge is at its worst, the prepaid taxi queue at T3 is long and a traveller who has just cleared a slow immigration hall is in no state to negotiate. A black car removes the whole question. The fare from T3 to Connaught Place, Aerocity, Gurugram or Noida was fixed per vehicle class when the booking was made; the chauffeur is at the arrivals exit with a name board when the aircraft lands; the sixty minutes of waiting inside the fare run from the landing; and the night allowance for a journey between 10 pm and 6 am was shown before payment, not discovered at the kerb.
The same logic holds in daylight. A meeting in Nehru Place followed by one in Cyber City is a journey whose time depends on the hour, and a black car by the hour or the day makes the cost independent of the traffic. An executive who is billed to a company wants an invoice with a GSTIN, not a screenshot. A visitor who does not know the city wants a chauffeur who does, and who will not take the Ring Road at six in the evening because the map suggested it.

Delhi's black-car bookings settle into three classes, and the desk will suggest one from the number of people, the bags and the road.
Executive sedan
Mercedes-Benz E-Class or BMW 5 Series: the T3 arrival with one or two passengers, the meeting day, the dinner run. $220 for the airport transfer and $1,400 for the day on the international card.
Luxury SUV
Toyota Fortuner, Land Cruiser or Mercedes-Benz GLS: up to five passengers with four bags, and the car for a family, a plant visit to Manesar or a weekend to the hills. $280 and $1,850.
Premium MPV
Toyota Innova Hycross or Kia Carnival: six passengers, five bags, the practical black car for a small team or a household, $250 and $1,600.
Luxury sedan
Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW 7 Series for a principal: the Delhi S-Class page covers it, at $2,600 for the airport.
Luxury van

The routes
The Delhi black-car corridors and how long they take
From T3, Aerocity is ten minutes and the hotels there, the JW Marriott among them, are the first stop for many arrivals. Connaught Place and the Lutyens hotels, the Imperial, the Taj on Mansingh Road and the Oberoi, are about 16 km and thirty to fifty minutes along NH48 and Sardar Patel Marg. Chanakyapuri and the Leela Palace are twenty-five minutes. Gurugram's Cyber City is thirty minutes to an hour down NH48 depending on the time; Golf Course Road a little more. Noida's Sector 62 is a cross-city journey of an hour or more by the Ring Road and the DND. Nehru Place and the south Delhi business districts sit between.

Who books a black car in Delhi
The inbound executive is the core passenger: in for three days of meetings in Gurugram and the centre, met at T3, driven by the hour or the day, invoiced to the company through a corporate account with the GST line a finance team needs; the Delhi corporate page and the executive car page are written for them. Overseas agencies and travel management companies book black cars for their travellers on the international card and get the same standard in every Indian city. The standard
The chauffeur, the vehicle and the paperwork
A Delhi black-car chauffeur holds a commercial licence and a Delhi or NCR transport badge, has cleared police verification and a background check, wears a uniform, speaks English and Hindi, and is briefed from the passenger file before every booking. The vehicle carries a commercial permit and insurance, is black or a dark metallic in the sedan and SUV classes, is serviced on schedule and presented clean, and its registration is on the confirmation for checking against the Parivahan records. Water and chargers are in the car. No gratuity is expected, GST is shown on every invoice, and tolls and parking are itemised at cost.

How to book a black car in Delhi
Enter the pickup, the destination, the date, the class and, for an airport, the flight number on the booking page; the fixed fare shows before payment by card or UPI, and the chauffeur's name, number and registration follow the day before. Hourly and day bookings are on the same page, with the four-hour minimum on hourly hire. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before the pickup, then stepped inside 72, 48 and 24 hours, and a flight cancelled by the airline moves the booking without charge.

Black car service in Delhi: frequently asked
Is a black car cheaper than a hotel car from Delhi airport?
Usually. The executive sedan transfer is $220 on the international card with an hour of waiting and the meet-and-greet included; hotel cars are priced by the hotel. The fare is published on the rates page, so the comparison is easy to make before booking.
Will the chauffeur meet me inside the terminal at T3?
At the arrivals exit beyond customs, with a name board, which is as far into the terminal as private chauffeurs are permitted at IGI. The confirmation names the exact meeting point and gives the chauffeur's number.
Do you charge extra at night?
A night allowance of $50 applies to journeys between 10 pm and 6 am and is shown on the fare before payment. There is no surge and no negotiation at the kerb.
Can I book a black car by the hour in Delhi?
Yes: $190 an hour for the executive sedan on the international card with a four-hour minimum, $190 an hour with a two-hour minimum on the international card, the car waiting between appointments.
Is Gurugram or Noida the same fare as Delhi?
The published class fare applies to any NCR address; tolls and, where a permit attracts one, a state entry tax are added at cost against receipts. The Delhi NCR page explains the region.
What if my flight into Delhi is delayed by fog?
