Why Mumbai is a black-car city
The journey from T2 to the southern business district can take forty-five minutes at dawn and an hour and a half at six in the evening, and any fare that depends on the meter or the app depends on which of those it is. A black car removes the question: the fare from the airport to BKC, Worli, Nariman Point or Powai was fixed per vehicle class when the booking was made, the chauffeur is at the arrivals exit with a name board when the aircraft lands, the sixty minutes of waiting inside the fare run from the landing, and the Sea Link and Coastal Road tolls are itemised at cost afterwards rather than argued about in the car.
The same logic holds through the day. A meeting in BKC followed by one in Fort is a journey whose time depends on the hour, and a black car by the hour or the day makes the cost independent of the traffic. Luxury sedan

The routes
The Mumbai black-car corridors and how long they take
From T2, BKC is fifteen to thirty minutes and the first stop for many arrivals, with the Sofitel and the Trident in the district. Bandra and Juhu, where the JW Marriott sits on the beach, are twenty to thirty minutes. Worli and Lower Parel, with the St. Regis and the Four Seasons, are thirty to fifty minutes by the Sea Link. Nariman Point, the Oberoi and the Trident, and Colaba with the Taj Mahal Palace, are about 25 km and forty-five to seventy-five minutes by the Sea Link and the Coastal Road. Powai and the Andheri East offices are twenty to forty minutes north-east. Who books a black car in Mumbai
The inbound executive is the core passenger: in for three days between BKC, Nariman Point and Lower Parel, met at T2, driven by the hour or the day, invoiced to the company through a corporate account with the GST line a finance team needs; the corporate accounts page and the visiting executives page are written for them. Overseas agencies book black cars for their travellers on the international card. Film units and fashion weeks book several matching cars on a call sheet with a coordinator. The vehicle carries a commercial permit and insurance, is black or a dark metallic in the sedan and SUV classes, is serviced on schedule and presented clean, and its registration is on the confirmation. How to book a black car in Mumbai
Enter the pickup, the destination, the date, the class and, for an airport, the flight number on the booking page; the fixed fare shows before payment by card or UPI, and the chauffeur's name, number and registration follow the day before. Is a black car cheaper than a hotel car from Mumbai airport?
Usually. The executive sedan transfer is $220 on the international card with an hour of waiting and the meet-and-greet included; hotel cars are priced by the hotel. Both cards are published on the rates page.
Where does the chauffeur meet me at T2?
At the arrivals exit beyond customs with a name board, in the zone the airport allows for private chauffeurs; the confirmation names the meeting point and gives the chauffeur's number.
Are the Sea Link and Coastal Road tolls included?
They are itemised at cost against receipts on the invoice, not estimated into the fare, so the passenger pays exactly what the toll was and nothing in the car.
Can I book a black car by the hour in Mumbai?
