The airports
CSMIA T2, T1 and Navi Mumbai: which one your flight uses
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International at Sahar and Santacruz is the airport most flights still use. Terminal 2 handles every international flight and the full-service domestic carriers, Air India and, since August 2026, Akasa Air; Terminal 1 at Santacruz handles IndiGo, SpiceJet, Alliance Air and Star Air domestic flights, with a share of T1's traffic moving to T2 from 25 October 2026. The two terminals are on opposite sides of the airfield and a road transfer between them takes fifteen to twenty-five minutes. Navi Mumbai International, open since December 2025, is a separate airport about 35 km to the south-east, reached from the city across the Atal Setu, and the same airlines fly to it on some routes.
The desk checks the airport and the terminal against the flight number when the booking is made and again the day before, and the chauffeur is sent where the airline is actually operating. At each terminal the chauffeur waits at the arrivals exit beyond customs with a name board, in the zone the airport allows for private chauffeurs, and the confirmation names that point and gives the chauffeur's number. The car is either in the pick-up lane for the free window the operator allows or in the car park a few minutes' walk away, and the chauffeur takes the trolley either way; the operator's guidance on pick-up points and parking is linked at the foot of this page.
The wait
Immigration, baggage and the hour that is inside the fare
The sixty minutes of waiting inside every airport fare are counted from the moment the aircraft lands. At T2 the Bureau of Immigration desks can clear a passenger in ten minutes or in an hour when several wide-body flights arrive together in the early hours; baggage follows; then customs. The chauffeur waits through all of it, a passenger delayed inside the terminal is never treated as a no-show, and waiting beyond the hour, once the passenger has cleared the hall and asked the car to stand, is charged in fifteen-minute steps at the class's extra-hour rate. Late-night arrivals are common at T2, the airport is fully staffed and the roads are quiet; a night allowance of $50 for journeys between 10 pm and 6 am is shown on the fare before payment. The chauffeur's number on the confirmation works on WhatsApp over the terminal's wireless for a passenger without a local SIM.

Bandra Kurla Complex
Fifteen to thirty minutes from T2: the Sofitel, the Trident, the banks and the consulates of the financial district, and the first stop for many business arrivals.
Bandra, Juhu and Andheri
Twenty to thirty minutes to the JW Marriott on Juhu beach, the Bandra hotels and residences and the Andheri East offices; Powai twenty to forty minutes north-east.
Worli and Lower Parel
Thirty to fifty minutes by the Sea Link to the Four Seasons, the St. Regis and the mill-district towers.
Nariman Point and Colaba
About 25 km and forty-five to seventy-five minutes by the Sea Link and the Coastal Road to the Oberoi, the Trident and the Taj Mahal Palace, and to the cruise terminal at Ballard Pier.
Navi Mumbai and Thane
From Navi Mumbai International the city is about 35 km across the Atal Setu, forty-five minutes to an hour to south Mumbai; from CSMIA, Navi Mumbai and Thane are thirty to sixty minutes.

The vehicles
Which car to book from Mumbai airport
The executive sedan, a Mercedes-Benz E-Class or BMW 5 Series, is the standard airport car for one or two passengers with two large bags, at $220 on the international card. The luxury sedan, the S-Class or 7 Series, is $350 for a principal or a first-class arrival, and the Mumbai S-Class page covers it. The luxury SUV, a Fortuner, Land Cruiser or GLS, carries up to five with four bags at $280 and is the right car for a family or an onward journey to the Ghats. The premium MPV, an Innova Hycross or Kia Carnival, carries six with five bags at $250. The V-Class and the group vans cover parties of six and twelve, and coaches through the network cover crews and delegations. GST is added; the Sea Link, Coastal Road and Atal Setu tolls and airport parking are at cost; there is no meet-and-greet charge and no gratuity is expected. The monsoon
June to September at Mumbai airport
Mumbai's monsoon is the airport's variable: heavy rain delays and diverts flights, the low points of the Western Express Highway and the Andheri subway flood on the worst days, and the journey to the city can double. The desk tracks every flight, watches the India Meteorological Department's warnings for the city, plans the route around the flood points and the tide tables, and re-times departures on the airline's advice and the road that morning; a flight cancelled by the airline moves the booking without charge. How to book a Mumbai airport chauffeur
Enter the airport, the flight number, the destination address, the date and the vehicle class on the booking page; the fixed fare and any night allowance show before payment by card or UPI, the confirmation arrives by email and WhatsApp, and the chauffeur's name, number and registration follow the day before with the meeting point for the terminal. Return transfers are booked as two legs. Companies book through their account coordinator and receive a monthly statement with GST on each line; the corporate accounts page explains the account. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before the pickup, then stepped inside 72, 48 and 24 hours. A booking a few hours before landing is usually possible, but the airport check and the name board are easier with a day's notice, and a first visit is worth mentioning.
