The airports
Dabolim and Mopa: which one your flight uses, and where each one is
Goa International Airport at Dabolim (GOI) is the older airport, in the south near Vasco da Gama, a civil enclave at the naval air station with a single terminal; it is the airport for the south-coast resort belt, for Panaji at about 30 km and for Mormugao port. Manohar International Airport at Mopa (GOX), open since 2023, is in the far north of the state, about 35 km from Calangute and about 45 km from Panaji; it is the airport for the north-coast beach villages and the villas behind them. Airlines fly to both, and a route that used Dabolim last year may use Mopa this year, so the code on the ticket decides and the desk checks it against the flight number when the booking is made and again the day before.
At each airport the chauffeur waits at the arrivals exit beyond customs with a name board, in the zone the airport allows for private chauffeurs, and the confirmation names that point and gives the chauffeur's number. The car is in the pick-up lane for the short halt the airport permits or in the car park a few minutes' walk away, and the chauffeur takes the trolley either way. The wait
Immigration, baggage and the hour that is inside the fare
The sixty minutes of waiting inside every airport fare are counted from the moment the aircraft lands. International arrivals, the charter flights from Europe and the Gulf services, clear the Bureau of Immigration desks at Dabolim or Mopa in a few minutes on a quiet day and in an hour when a bank of charters arrives together in the season; baggage follows; then customs. The chauffeur waits through all of it, a passenger delayed inside the terminal is never treated as a no-show, and waiting beyond the hour, once the passenger has cleared the hall and asked the car to stand, is charged in fifteen-minute steps at the class's extra-hour rate. A night allowance of $50 for journeys between 10 pm and 6 am is shown on the fare before payment, and the chauffeur's number on the confirmation works on WhatsApp over the terminal's wireless.
The routes
From either airport to every coast, with honest times
The fare is fixed by vehicle class whatever the road does, but the desk quotes the time honestly, because in the season it is what a passenger plans around.
Dabolim to the south coast
Twenty to forty minutes to the Leela, the Taj Exotica, the ITC Grand Goa and the Alila Diwa at Cavelossim, Benaulim, Arossim and Majorda; an hour and a half to Palolem.
Dabolim to Panaji
About 30 km and forty-five minutes across the Zuari bridge to the capital, Fontainhas and the river hotels.
Dabolim to the north
An hour to an hour and a half by the NH66 to Candolim, Calangute and Anjuna, longer in the season.
Mopa to the north coast
About 35 km and forty-five minutes to Calangute, Candolim and Baga; thirty to forty-five minutes to Anjuna, Vagator and Morjim and the villas behind them.
Mopa to Panaji and Bambolim
About 45 km and an hour to the capital and the Grand Hyatt; the Taj Fort Aguada at Sinquerim about the same.
Mopa to the south coast
An hour and a half to two hours in the season; the desk will say so before the booking rather than after.
The vehicles
Which car to book from a Goa airport
The luxury SUV, a Toyota Fortuner, Land Cruiser or Mercedes-Benz GLS, is Goa's most-booked airport car: up to five passengers with four bags, the right car for a villa party, the lanes and the monsoon, at $280 on the international card. The executive sedan, an E-Class or 5 Series, is the standard for one or two passengers with two large bags at $220. The luxury sedan, the S-Class or 7 Series, is $350 for a bride or a first-class arrival, and the Goa S-Class page covers it. The premium MPV, an Innova Hycross or Kia Carnival, carries six with five bags at $250 and is the family choice. The V-Class and the group vans cover wedding families and parties of twelve, and coaches through the network cover the wedding-guest flights. GST is added; tolls and parking are at cost; there is no meet-and-greet charge and no gratuity is expected. The season
Charters, weddings and New Year at the Goa airports
From November to February the airports receive the charter flights from Europe and the wedding-guest banks from the metros, and over Christmas and New Year every chauffeur in the state is committed; the desk holds cars against the flight banks for wedding families and asks for a week's notice in the season and a month over the holidays. The monsoon from June to September delays flights on the worst days and floods the low roads, and the desk tracks every aircraft, watches the India Meteorological Department's warnings and plans the route around the water; a flight cancelled by the airline moves the booking without charge.

How to book a Goa airport chauffeur
Enter the airport, the flight number, the destination address, the date and the vehicle class on the booking page; the fixed fare and any night allowance show before payment by card or UPI, the confirmation arrives by email and WhatsApp, and the chauffeur's name, number and registration follow the day before with the meeting point. Villa addresses are worth describing in the booking, since the lanes are not always on the map, and the chauffeur will call the villa manager if the household asks. Return transfers are booked as two legs, timed on the airline's cut-off and the season's traffic.
