Why the executive sedan is the right class for business travel
An executive car has to do four things well: get through a city without fuss, let the passenger work, carry a week's luggage and look right at the client's gate. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5 Series do all four, which is why they are the benchmark class on the RUTZ.IN rate card and the class most corporate accounts run on. Three passengers fit; two work comfortably with laptops open. The boot takes two large cases. The ride absorbs the speed breakers and the cabin stays quiet enough for a call.
It is also the class that is priced for regular use. On the international card the executive sedan is $190 an hour with a four-hour minimum, $220 for an airport transfer, $420 for a four-hour, forty-kilometre half day, $1,400 for the eight-hour, eighty-kilometre day and $1,700 for the ten-hour, 300 km charter day. For the passenger who wants the rear cabin of a flagship, the luxury sedan is one step up, and the luxury chauffeur page and the S-Class page describe it. For most executive travel, the E-Class is the right answer and the desk will say so.
The day
An executive day in India, as the desk runs it
A meeting day in Mumbai or Bengaluru has a shape, and the executive car service is designed around it.
- 06:30 The chauffeur confirms the first pickup by message; the car is outside the hotel ten minutes before the booked time, engine off, boot open.
- 08:00 The first meeting. The chauffeur waits where the building's security allows, moves the car if asked, and is back at the door two minutes after the passenger's message.
- Midday A second address across the city. The chauffeur has checked the route and the parking; the passenger has not had to think about either.
- Afternoon A change of plan: a third meeting added, the airport run moved by two hours. The desk re-times the day and the fare moves with the published extra-hour rate, not a renegotiation.
- Evening Airport or dinner. The day's hours and kilometres are on the chauffeur's log, and the invoice, with GST shown separately, is in the inbox the next morning.
Corporate
Executive car service on a corporate account
A company that books executive cars more than a few times a month opens an account. The corporate accounts page sets out the mechanics: a named coordinator at the desk, traveller profiles that hold each executive's preferences and the hotel and office addresses, a booking channel for the company's travel team or its travel management company, and a monthly statement with every journey itemised by traveller, cost centre and purpose. GST is shown on each line with the RUTZ.IN GSTIN, so input credit can be claimed where the company's registration allows, and TDS on the settlement follows the Income Tax Department's rules for hired vehicles.
Duty of care is part of the account. The company's travel policy is on file: which classes are approved for which grades, whether night driving needs a second chauffeur, whether travellers may share cars. Every chauffeur on the account is verified, every vehicle is permitted and insured, and the coordinator reports incidents the same day. Companies that bring executives to India from abroad use the visiting executives page for the arrival end and bill on the international card if the account is held outside India.
Roadshows are the account's heaviest week: an investor or product team in three cities in four days, with cars in each city dispatched from the same file, a coordinator on the phone throughout and one invoice at the end. Intercity
Executive cars between cities
Some of the most productive executive hours in India are spent on the expressways. Delhi to Gurugram is a commute, but Delhi to Jaipur, Mumbai to Pune, Bengaluru to Mysuru and Chennai to Puducherry are journeys of two to five hours that an E-Class turns into a working session: the seat, the quiet and the chauffeur's discipline on the road make a call or a document possible in a way a domestic flight and two airport transfers do not. The city-to-city page prices the main routes as fixed fares with tolls at cost, and the charter day covers a route with several stops or an overnight.
For a plant visit or a site inspection, the desk suggests the executive SUV rather than the sedan once the last stretch leaves the highway, and the passenger is told why. For a team of four to six, the premium MPV is the executive vehicle for intercity work: it is quieter than it looks, the second row slides, and the fare is lower than two sedans.
Airports
The executive airport transfer
The airport run is the executive booking the desk dispatches most, and it is the one where a fixed fare and a name board matter most. The chauffeur is at the arrivals exit when the aircraft lands, with sixty minutes of waiting inside the fare, the flight tracked so a late aircraft costs nothing extra, and the route agreed: T3 to Aerocity in ten minutes or to Gurugram in forty, Mumbai T2 over the Sea Link to Nariman Point, Bengaluru T2 down the elevated expressway to MG Road, Hyderabad from Shamshabad up the expressway to Banjara Hills. Departures are timed by the desk from the hotel, not by the passenger's guess: the coordinator checks the airline's check-in cut-off and the road that morning, and the chauffeur's message gives the pickup time with a margin the executive can trust.

Bookings are made on the booking page with the fare fixed before payment, or by the account coordinator for companies on account. Cancellation follows the published policy: free more than 72 hours before pickup, then a stepped charge inside 72, 48 and 24 hours; changes inside the window are free.

- Airport transfers include 60 minutes of waiting after landing and meet-and-greet at the arrivals exit.
- The charter day (10 hours, 300 km) includes fuel and the chauffeur's meals and accommodation on outstation nights.
- Night driving between 10 pm and 6 am carries the night allowance per night; a second chauffeur is added on days over 12 hours.

What cars count as executive class?
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5 Series, in black or a dark metallic, recent models, serviced on schedule. The luxury sedan class above it is the S-Class and 7 Series; the premium MPV and luxury SUV cover larger parties and rougher roads.
How is an executive day priced?
As a package: $1,400 on the international card for eight hours and eighty kilometres in the executive sedan, with extra hours and kilometres at the published class rate, GST added and tolls or parking at cost. The four-hour half day is $420 and the hourly rate $190 with a four-hour minimum.
Can my company get a monthly invoice?
Yes. A corporate account gives you a coordinator, traveller profiles and a monthly statement itemised by traveller and cost centre, with GST on every line for input credit. The corporate accounts page explains how to open one.
Will the chauffeur wait between meetings?
Yes; that is what hourly and day hire are for. The chauffeur waits where the building allows, moves the car if security asks, and returns on a message. Waiting time is inside the booked hours, not charged on top.
Is the executive sedan suitable for intercity trips?
For expressway routes such as Delhi to Jaipur or Mumbai to Pune, yes, and the city-to-city page prices them as fixed fares. When the last stretch leaves the highway the desk will suggest an SUV, and for a party of four or more the premium MPV.
